POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS ABDUCTION REPORT BY 17-YEAR-OLD WAS UNFOUNDED
On Monday, January 29, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a female tied up on the side of the roadway by a local resident along 410th Ave SW in Bygland Township. Polk County Deputies responded and located a 17-year-old female who reported being abducted and brought to the above location.

CHEDA APPLYNG FOR OVER $20 MILLION IN FEDERAL GRANT FUNDING
The Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority (CHEDA) met on Tuesday at Valley Technology Park. The meeting began with the board unanimously approving the election of officers/executive committee for 2024, which remains the same. The committee includes Board President Nick Nicholas, Vice President Tom Skjei, Treasurer Phil Schramm, Secretary Theresa Tahran, and Assistant Treasurer Annette
