The Grand Forks Police Department has reported an increase in opioid overdoses in the Grand Forks area in 2021. Year to date, there have been 37 suspected drug overdoses and 3 opioid overdose deaths in the City of Grand Forks, according to Police data. The Grand Forks Police Department would like the public to be aware that we have responded to the scene of two opioid overdoses in the past two days. In both cases CPR was performed on the victim and naloxone was administered by first responders. Fortunately, both victims were revived and appear to have fully recovered.
