Fire calls: At 11:37 Thursday morning, the Crookston Fire Department responded to a call for a rubber melter on fire in Section 27 of Crookston Township. They extinguished the fire and cooled it down, then turned it over to the work crew.

Fire calls: The Crookston Fire Department responded to an alarm at the Cobblestone Hotel at 5:10 Wednesday evening. A vacuum cleaner being operated without a filter kicked up enough dust to set off the detector.
