CHIMNEY FIRE REPORTED IN MENTOR

On Saturday, January 2 at approximately 10:10 pm, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a chimney fire at 15647 Sandy Beach Road SE in Mentor. Upon arrival, Mentor Fire had extinguished the chimney fire. The owner and his wife arrived home shortly after the initial report.  No injuries were reported. There

UPDATE: TWO INDIVIDUALS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT NORTH ACRES ESTATES

UPDATE: 12/30/20 1:15 p.m. Vincent Villarreal was a person of interest in the December 5 death of Jeffrey Allen Shulzitski at the Budget Inn Express in Grand Forks. Wednesday’s arrest was on warrants unrelated to the Grand Forks investigation.  The Grand Forks Police Department will seek to speak with Villarreal about their open investigation now
