ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Ethan Bowman

The KROX Athlete of the week is Ethan Bowman, a 5’6, 117-pound freshman that is coming off his first varsity tournament championship after winning the 62nd Skip Nalan tournament in Grand Rapids last weekend.  Ethan won all four of his matches.  He won his first two matches by pin before winning his semi-final match 14-3.

UMC SOFTBALL PICKED TO FINISH 15TH IN NSIC COACHES POLL

The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Softball team was picked to finish 15th in the Northern Sun Conference preseason coaches poll last week. #5 EAST GRAND FORKS BEATS PIRATES BOYS HOCKEY 7-0

Trey Ausmus’ third-period hat trick caps a 7-0 victory for the fifth-ranked East Grand Forks Green Wave over the Crookston Pirates Boys Hockey team in a Section 8A game at the East Grand Forks Civic Center.  The Green Wace flexed their muscle throughout the first period, but junior Carter Nelson looked every part the shutdown
