CROOKSTON H.S. GRAD BOBBY TIEDEMANN RECEIVES SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

Crookston High School grad and current St. Mary’s University Men’s Tennis player Bobby Tiedemann was being named to the MIAC Sportsmanship team this week.  Bobby wrapped up his collegiate tennis career at St. Mary’s University this spring and received the award for his on-court decorum. CROOKSTON GIRL’S GOLF FINISHES FOURTH PLACE AT FOSSTON MEET

The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Golf team finished in fourth place with a team score of 388 in the Girl’s Golf Section 8A Preview at Bemidji Town & Country Club. UMC BASEBALL’S REED HJELLE AND DALTON GROSE NAMED ALL-NSIC

University of Minnesota Crookston baseball players Reed Hjelle (Sr., 1B, East Grand Forks) and Dalton Grose (So., LHP, Waterville) were named to the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Baseball teams, as announced Wed., May 8 by the conference office. PIRATE BASEBALL FALLS TO HILLSBORO/CENTRAL VALLEY

The Crookston Pirate Baseball team ran into a very good Hillsboro/Central Valley team and lost 13-3 at Jim Karn Field in Crookston. Hillsboro started the game with a strikeout, but the batter reached on a wild pitch, then stole second base and scored on a ground out for a 1-0 lead after the first inning.

PIRATE GIRLS TRACK FINISHES 2ND, BOYS FINISH 5TH AT TRUE TEAM MEET

The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Track team finished in second place, and the Boy’s Track team took fifth place in the Section 8A True Team Track meet in Roseau.
