The Northwest Girls Basketball conference released the all-conference awards this week and Crookston’s Kylie Solheim, Rachel Hefta, and Emma Borowicz were named all-conference. Minnesota State Mankato Maverick Men’s Hockey Coach, Mike Hastings, has been named the 2018-19 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Coach of the Year. The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball team started Northern Sun Conference (NSIC) play with three wins at Wayne State and pitcher Zach Rustad (Sr. Blaine) threw a one-hit shutout in the first game of the series to set the tone and because of his efforts he was named NSIC Pitcher of the Week.
