The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Hockey power play came alive tonight, scoring three with the man advantage to defeat the visiting Thief River Falls Prowlers 4-1 in a Section 8A game at the Crookston Sports Center. Pirate junior Brekken Tull scored twice, and Crookston overcame outstanding goaltending by the Prowlers Bella Hamre who had 44 saves.
The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Hockey team jumped out to a 3-0 lead and Thief River Falls came back with two goals, the second with just under four and a half minutes to go in the game. Crookston was able to add an open net goal with 17 seconds left to secure an important 4-2 win

Thief River Falls mastery over the Pirates is now stretching into 11 years since Crookston has beaten a Prowler team.
