The Crookston Pirate Math Counts team competed at Thief River Falls last week. Crookston is advancing the team of Sam Widseth, Ashton Hoffman, Peter Wiersma, and Jace Bruggeman, who finished second place overall. Fifth and sixth-grade students from Highland Elementary recently competed in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Virtual Challenge. Sixth-grade students Leah Johanneck, Xavier Mason, Alex Zammert, Abigail Olson, and Madilyn Bruggeman represented Crookston. These students competed individually and as a team on eight sets of mathematical problems in this competition for a total of 325

The Crookston Masonic Lodge #141 made a recent donation to the Crookston Kiwanis with proceeds from a recent Breakfast held at the Masonic Lodge.
