The Alluma Foundation will host Ignite the Light on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Crookston Inn & Convention Center. The event will bring community members together to expand access to mental health and substance use disorder care across northwestern Minnesota.
Ignite the Light is Alluma Foundation’s signature fundraising event, supporting trauma-informed, community-centered services for individuals and families throughout the region. The Foundation’s goal is to raise $50,000 to strengthen access to counseling, substance use treatment and recovery support, crisis response services, and other essential programs.
The evening will include dinner, a silent auction, and time to connect with the community. Guest speaker Jennifer Compeau — Family Resource Coordinator at the East Grand Forks Family Resource Center and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist — will share her journey of adversity, healing, and resilience. A proud descendant of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Jen has transformed her lived experience into a powerful voice for change, advocating for families and communities across Minnesota. Her story is an inspiring reminder that even in our hardest moments, there is light to be found — and shared.
“Access to care changes lives,” said Dr. Christopher Mills, Board President and Superintendent of Thief River Falls Public Schools. “Mental health and recovery are not someone else’s issue — they affect our families, our workplaces, and our community. Ignite the Light is our opportunity to invest in hope and healing, and ensure care is there when it’s needed most.”
Early Access table pricing is available through March 15. Tables of eight are available for $300, with standard table pricing of $400 beginning March 16. Individual tickets are $50.
