The Crookston City Council and Ways and Means Committee will meet on Monday, July 20

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, July 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers.

The consent agenda includes the approval of the proposed minutes from the July 6 meeting, approval of bills and disbursements in the amount of $402,039.50, a resolution appointing election judges for the primary and general elections for 2026, a resolution regarding the fifth payment to Gustafson & Goudge, Inc. for the 2025 hangar construction for the Crookston Municipal Airport, a resolution regarding payment to R.J. Zavoral & Sons, Inc. for the 2024 taxi lane construction and site preparation for the Crookston Municipal Airport, and a resolution approving temporary construction easements for the Broadway and Main Avenue ADA Retrofit and Concrete Pavement Repair Project.

The regular agenda includes a resolution authorizing application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) demolition loan program for the former Tri-Valley building at 102 N. Broadway, a resolution authorizing the City of Crookston to enter into an engineering and design services agreement with Houston Engineering, Inc. for the Crookston Industrial Park Expansion Project, and a resolution regarding the approval of amendment number 3 to MNDOT contract number 1053917 State Project Number 6002-72 Trunk Highway 2 Crookston ADA Retrofit.

Immediately following the City Council meeting, the Ways and Means Committee will meet at the City Hall Council Chambers. Their open agenda includes continued discussions on Houston erosion and the city’s preliminary 2027 budget.
