THE CROOKSTON COMMUNITY POOL HAS STARTED ITS SUMMER HOURS/PROGRAMS

The Crookston Community Pool started its summer hours and programs earlier this week. The Pool’s summer hours will run from June 3 until August 31.

The Crookston Community Pool has amenities like a diving tank and eight swimming lanes. Monday through Friday, the Pool offers Lap Swim from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Aqua Aerobics from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., and Open Swim from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The Pool will also have a special Lights Out Open Swim on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., an Open Swim on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and a closed pool on Sundays.

Potential swimmers can choose from several different price points. A simple day pass costs $5, while those looking for something longer-term can purchase monthly passes for $36. Passes that run for the entirety of the summer are also available. A single summer swim pass for one individual costs $100, while a family summer pass costs $250.

Crookston Parks and Recreation’s Andrea Prudhomme wanted to encourage people to come out this summer. She says, “Come on out, it’s a lot of fun. We do have noodles, we have swimming goggles, there is a bunch of different things that they can use there too, life vests for the little ones, and then there is always a lifeguard available during open swim, so if you feel uncomfortable, you can drop the older kids off, and that wouldn’t be a problem at all.” She continues, “Just 5 dollars swimming, and we do have swimming passes for the summer for family and single that can be purchased right online at our active network website. If they have any questions, they can give me a call at 218-281-1242.”
