Audiences are invited to witness the history of the Vietnam War come to life with a presentation by historian and educator Arn Kind, to be held at the Crookston Public Library on Tuesday, September 19, from 6-8 p.m. Using maps, artifacts, and more, Kind will bring history alive with a colorful and realistic portrayal of the conflict, including the increasing commitment of five US presidents and the rise of anti-war protests at home. His presentation will include the eventual US withdrawal from Vietnam and the lingering tragic effects of a war that Congress had never declared. This program is made possible thanks to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund and is geared for audiences ages 13 and up.
