The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday, August 24, at 5:00 p.m. in the Crookston High School choir/orchestra room.
The consent agenda includes the approval of the July 27 regular meeting minutes and August 3 special meeting minutes. The board will also be asked to approve the current bills totaling $1,643,245.79 and the following personnel items –
The board will be asked to approve the resignations of Jennifer Ehlen, a special education teacher at Crookston High School; Heather Michaelson, a paraprofessional; Suzanne Larson, from Food Service; and Pat Janorschke, head boys tennis coach.
The board will be asked to approve employment agreements with Pamela Mohr as a paraprofessional at Highland Elementary School, Taylor Walters as an elementary teacher (5th grade) at Highland Elementary, Kristine Stegman as a part-time Title I teacher for the parochial schools, Thomas Staehnke as a full-time substitute teacher at Highland Elementary, Kristen Young as a full-time substitute teacher at Crookston High School, John Young as a paraprofessional at Crookston High School, Marissa Arriaga as a kitchen helper at Crookston High School, Mallory Cuno as a kitchen helper at Crookston High School, Jennifer Walz as an art/music teacher at Highland Elementary School, Erica Hernandex at a part-time lunchroom aide at Highland Elementary School, Karla Wahlin as a part-time lunchroom aide at Highland Elementary School, Chris Wahlin as a part-time lunchroom aide at Highland Elementary School, Gabriela Ostgaard as a paraprofessional at Crookston High School, Tom Anderson as a part-time lunchroom aide at Highland Elementary School, and Hal Reeser as a special education teacher at Crookston High School.
The board will be asked to accept the updated fall coaches’ list.
The board will be asked to accept $9,989.43 in donations, including $5,787.60 from the Crookston Pirate Boosters for football uniforms, $1,621.83 from the Crookston Pirate Boosters for the volleyball program, and $2,580 from the Pirate Fine Arts Boosters for the art program.
Items on the main agenda include approving student handbooks for Highland Elementary School, Crookston Middle School, and Crookston High School, approving staff handbooks for Highland Elementary School, Crookston Middle School, Crookston High School, and the Coaches and Advisors Handbook, approval of a parking lot drainage repair proposal from Olson Underground, Inc., approval of the updated Long Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) Ten-Year Plan for the fiscal year 2028, and removal of policy 435 from the list of policies (second reading).
