Join the Washington School Parent Advisory Council
All parents of ECFE and School Readiness students are invited to participate in the Washington School Parent Advisory Council. Several meetings are scheduled throughout the year to plan our:
Future Playground Needs
Read-a-Thon Fundraiser in November
Staff Appreciation Week in May
Washington School PTO Family Picnic
Proceeds from the Read-a-thon will help fund the Winter Fun Day; I Love to Read Month, and Celebrate the Young Child events. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19, at 5 p.m. at Washington School. Please RSVP for childcare by the day before the meeting by calling the office at 281-2762.
Winter Weather Ahead
Winter comes whether we want it or not. Preparedness is a must! Here is some information to help you prepare for winter storms: Crookston Public Schools utilizes the School Messenger notification system to inform parents of emergency closings or delayed starts. If this is your child’s first year at Washington School, you will receive a text message to “opt-in.”
Free Pumpkins
The Oxbow Community Gardens gifted each student and teacher with a pumpkin. “The Oxbow,” at the Old Crossing, is a unique landmark on 70 donated acres near Huot, MN. The property is maintained to help reconnect individuals and whole communities with their unique land and history through creative programming in arts, education, and enterprise. We are grateful for the generosity of the Louisville Foundation, which supported this effort through hours of volunteer work to grow, pick, and transport the pumpkins.
