THE PIRATE DANCE TEAM COMPETES IN CROOKSTON EVENT, JV PLACES 2ND

The Crookston Pirate Varsity and JV Dance teams competed at the first-ever dance event held at the Crookston High School.

The JV team finished in second place with an excellent performance. Adalyn Hanson, Gianna Lubarski, Abbi Bruley, Isley Machado, Keatyn Kliner, Makenna Kopecky, and Avery Trudeau performed for the JV. The team is coached by Quinn Siegly. Crosby Ironton placed 1st for the JV, Hawley got 3rd, and Frazee got 4th. Wadena Deer Creek, Mahnomen-Waubun, Bagley, and Pelican Rapids also competed.

Varsity placed outside of the top four at 5th place. Kendra Brekken, Kalea Luckow, Avery Matthew, Madelyn Knutson, and Mackenzie Funk performed for the varsity. The team is coached by Grace Espinosa. Crosby Ironton also placed 1st for the Varsity, Frazee got 2nd, Hawley got 3rd, and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton got 4th. Wadena Deer Creek and Bagley also competed.

The Pirate Dance team will be back in action in Pelican Rapids on January 13.
