In high school, Tianna Hamre took the opportunity to job shadow in RiverView’s Laboratory. The experience helped her decide she wanted to become a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS). Fast forward to today and Hamre’s title is MLS in RiverView’s Laboratory. Just recently, she also picked up the title of Employee of the Month for January.
Hamre’s been a familiar face at RiverView over the years. Along with her job shadow opportunity, she also did her college internship at RiverView in 2018 and 2019, and officially joined the Lab Team in November of 2021.
“One of the best parts about working at RiverView is that I get to work alongside so many amazing nurses, providers, lab techs, and other staff. Everyone is great at their jobs, and we all help each other out,” she shared.
A Crookston native, in her free time Hamre enjoys ice/figure skating, playing piano, spending time with family, and enjoying being outside in the sunshine.
“I am very honored and grateful to have been named employee of the month. It is not something that I was expecting, but I am excited that I get this opportunity to represent RiverView,” she concluded.
