Trails to Treatments Fundraiser Will Be This Weekend

With Labor Day fast approaching, the Trails to Treatments fundraiser is right around the corner on August 31 and September 1. One of the kick-off events is the Karaoke Competition, which will be held on Friday evening, August 31 at 8:00 p.m. at the Wheel Bar in Middle River.
SINGERS are needed! And there are prizes! Cash prizes of $100 for 1st place, $75 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd place will be awarded, along with a People’s Choice Award, which is a 50/50 split between the singer and Trails to Treatments. The amount of the People’s Choice is determined by the number of people who vote and the dollar amount with which the audience members vote.
Trails to Treatments (TTT) is a grant program administered by the North Country Horsemen Saddle Club, a non-profit organization based out of Middle River, Minnesota. Feedback from sponsors, riders, and communities inspired us to establish this grant program which will offer financial assistance to patients currently receiving cancer treatments.
The Mission Statement of TTT reads: Our mission is to assist those in need of funding during their treatment of cancer. We believe most people are not fully prepared for the out of pocket expenses cancer treatment requires. Our volunteers are dedicated to the long-term success of this grant program through ongoing donations and fundraising efforts.
Accept the challenge and join in the fun. If interested, register with veteran karaoke performer, Jody Kirkeide. Call her at 218-684-1228. If she doesn’t answer, leave a message! Or, you can also just show up and register on site.
