Tri-Valley Opportunity Council Will Be Featured in Viewpoint, Hosted by Dennis Quaid

Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc., will participate in the education program Viewpoint, hosted by Dennis Quaid. The piece is said to guide viewers through an in-depth look at how Tri-Valley Mobilizes state, federal, and local resources, and volunteers to create meaningful support and change for those in need.

“We are going to participate in a PBS program called Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid,” said Jason Carlson, CEO of Tri-Valley Opportunity Council. “We were approached with some other Minnesota organizations about our interest in potentially participating in the project, and after an interview process and some other back-and-forth, Tri-Valley was selected to participate in the program.”

The program will feature Tri-Valley Opportunity Council. “It is an educational program that fills a gap on PBS full-hour programming because they don’t have commercials, so this is expected to be about a six-minute education piece focused on Tri-Valley and our work in the communities,” said Carlson.

Carlson tells us that he is lucky he decided to open this particular email. “I can’t honestly tell you why I actually looked at that one of all the emails I get, as you might expect, but I did, and I agreed to start with the initial screening interview,” said Carslon. “One thing led to another, and by Friday, we will have a film crew in here and be conducting some interviews with program participants, volunteers, and partners, and we will see what comes of it.”

Carlson says Viewpoint will let Tri-Valley know when the program will be aired, but it will be several months.
