Two varsity dance team members were selected for the All-State Jazz team. This is the first time Crookston has been able to nominate dancers. Coaches could nominate four dancers who have competed in Varsity Jazz and Varsity Kick all season and have a certain list of skills down.
Dancers learned 30 seconds of a routine, filmed it, and sent it off to judges. Over 400 kids from all across Minnesota were nominated. Nominated from Crookston’s team was Calleigh Fanfulik and Mackenzie Funk for kick and Kalea Luckow and Avery Mathews for Jazz.
Kalea and Avery made the jazz team and will head down to Edina on Saturday, March 11, to participate. The Dance Team is excited to watch them represent Crookston at this amazing opportunity.
