Two current Crookston City Council members have filed to run for the council again.
Clayton Briggs in Ward 3, and Joe Kresl in Ward 5 have filed affidavits for candidacy for the November election. Briggs ran unopposed four years ago and Kresl was appointed to the council after Dale Stainbrook was appointed Mayor.
Filing is open for council seats in Wards 1, 3, 5, and an at-large seat. Eligible candidates have until 5 p.m. on August 11 to file at Crookston City Hall. The filing fee is $2.
