Three University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball players were named to the Northern Sun Conference Baseball tournament all-tournament team.
Will Zimmerman (Sr. Park River, ND), Conner Richardson (Jr. Grand Forks, ND), and Brock Reller (Sr. Grand Forks, ND) were all named to the 11-player team.
In the three games at Sioux Falls –
Reller was 6 for 12 at the plate with 4 runs, 4 rbi, 2 home runs, and a double.
Zimmerman was 7 for 14 at the plate with 5 runs, 3 rbi, a home run, and a double
Richardson pitched 6.1 innings and gave up five hits, walking 3, and striking out 3.
UMC beat St. Cloud State 6-1 and lost to #13 ranked Minnesota State-Mankato and #18 ranked Augustana in the three games. UMC is awaiting the NCAA Division II Central Region tournament selection show on Sunday to find out if they will make the regional tournament.
