UMC MEN’S BASKETBALL GETS ANOTHER COMMITMENT

The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Men’s Basketball program has landed a commitment from a Junior College transfer.  Zac Olson of Waterville, Minnesota and a transfer from Lake Region State in Devils Lake, N.D. will be attending UMC in the fall to play basketball.    Olson is a 6’5 225-pound freshman (will be a sophomore).  He originally and attended the University of Mary, transferred to Lake Region State College and now will attend UMC.  Earlier this year, Olson committed to play at Bethany Lutheran College and changed his mind and recently decided to play basketball at UMC.
In his freshman season at Lake Region State, Olson played in 30 games, averaged 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.  He shot 41 percent from the field, 35 percent on three-point attempts and 76 percent from the free throw line.
