UMC MEN’S GOLF FINISHES IN 10TH PLACE IN ARIZONA

The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Men’s Golf team shot a solid 307 for their final round but finished in 10th place out of ten teams with a three-round score of 934 at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Spring invite at Antelope Hills South Course in Prescott, Arizona. Arizona Christian won the team title with a score of 872, five strokes better than Bemidji State.

Conor Humble (Jr., Rosemount) led UMC with a 74 on his final day to finish with a 232 in the tournament. Ben Trostad (Soph., Crookston) finished one stroke back of Humble following a 77 in his final round. Brian Bekkala (Jr., Livonia, MI) tied Trostad with a 233 including his best round of the event with a 74 on Tuesday. Keegan Poppenberg (Fr., Esko) turned in an 82 in round three finishing with a three-round score of 236 while Spencer Harvey (Jr., Cambridge) shot 90 for a total score of 275. Competing as individuals, Dillon Sannes (Jr., Fertile) turned in his best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 78 for a total score of 257 while Matt Moroz (Fr., Edmonton, Alberta) carded an 83 for a three-round total of 257.

The Golden Eagles return to the links on Monday, March 30 for the NSIC Preview at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Liberty, Missouri.
