The University of Minnesota Crookston men’s golf team was picked to finish ninth in the NSIC Men’s Golf Preseason Coaches’ Poll announced by the conference office.
Winona State University was picked as the favorite with five first-place votes and 70 overall points. Concordia University-St. Paul was picked second with one first-place vote and 62 points.
The Golden Eagles also bring back the majority of their roster from last year including Keegan Poppenberg, Dillon Sannes, Ben Trostad, Matt Moroz, Brian Bekkala, and Spencer Harvey. The team will welcome newcomers, Cade Pederson, Boede Guza, and Spencer Dahlquist.
The Golden Eagles will open the season March 22-23 at the Washburn University Invite in Topeka, Kansas. The season will wrap up with the NSIC Championships April 16-18 in Kansas City, Missouri.
