The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles Women’s & Men’s Cross-Country teams after a season of improvement finished off their season participating at the Northern Sun Conference Championships today at Wayne State, Nebraska’s Country Club! UMC Men’s finished 12th of 14 schools and were led by Hanokh Gailson (Fresh-Reno, Nevada whose time in the 8,000 meters was 26.41.38 and good for 30th place out of the 125 runners competing. Team wise, Augustana had the top six runners in the meet and easily won the championship.
The UMC Women’s team finished 16th of 16 schools and their top runner was Madison Elijah (Fresh-Hebron, Indiana) whose time of 28:03.93 in the 6,000 meter run was good for 122nd place out of 142 runners. Augustana University made it a clean sweep winning the women’s division as well and although they didn’t have the top runner, they did have the next five runners on their way to victory.
