UMC Softball to Host Fall Camp

The University of Minnesota Crookston softball program will hold a Fall Camp Saturday, September 15. The camp will have two sessions at $50 for each camp or a discounted $90 for both sessions. The first session will run from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and will focus on hitting, while the second session will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and will key in on defense and pitching.
The hitting portion will focus on hitting mechanics that mimic the top hitters in the game, including drills and tools for improving contact, exit velocity, power, and mechanics.
The defensive portion will focus on footwork, transfers/glove work, angles to improve range and fielding, and the pitching session will focus on movement of the fundamental pitches, velocity, and video of the game’s top pitchers including drills to help mechanics.
To register for the camp or for any inquiries, contact Head Coach Travis Owen at towen@crk.umn.edu or 303-656-1415. Owen is in his first season as head coach for the Golden Eagles.
