UMC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS TWINS FROM AUSTIN

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team announced the signing of twin sisters Hope Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn./Austin H.S.) and Emma Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn,/Austin H.S.). The twins will continue their careers in the Maroon and Gold, becoming the fifth and sixth signees for the Golden Eagles in the 2022 signing class. They join Taryn Frazer (G, 5-4, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena H.S.), Emma Miller (G, 5-1, Albertville, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville H.S.), Natalie Mikrot (G, 5-6, Willow River, Minn.), and Janie Tormanen (F/C, 6-0, Menahga, Minn./Menahga H.S.).

Hope Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn./Austin H.S.)
Hope Dudycha is a three-time All-Big 9 Conference selection for Austin H.S. (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21). She has twice earned All-State Honorable Mention accolades (2019-20, 2020-21). She reached the 1,000 point milestone during the 2020-21 season. “Hope is a true point guard with a great IQ and skill set,” said Head Coach Mike Roysland. “She does a great job of getting everyone involved! She can score all levels, and she continually has a calming effect with her team when she is on the floor. We are very excited to add Hope to our basketball program.”
She is the daughter of Jeremy and Nicole Dudycha. Dudycha is undecided on her major at Crookston. Hope Dudycha will get the opportunity to compete with her twin sister Emma Dudycha.

Emma Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn./Austin H.S.)
Emma Dudycha earned All-Big 9 Conference Honorable Mention accolades during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. “Emma is more of a shooting guard, and she has great range,” Roysland stated. “She also has great vision on the court. I like the versatility she brings. We are very excited to have Emma join our Golden Eagle basketball program.”
She is the daughter of Jeremy and Nicole Dudycha. She plans to major in health sciences at Crookston.  Emma Dudycha will get the opportunity to compete with her twin sister Hope Dudycha.
