UMC WOMEN’S GOLF TEAM FINISHES FOURTH PLACE, LED BY FERTILE’S CAMRYN LARSON AND ANNA OLSON

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s golf team placed fourth of four teams at the SMSU Spring Challenge at Coldwater Golf Course in Avondale, Ariz. The tournament was cut to just one round played Thursday, March 12.

The Golden Eagles were led on the day by Camryn Larson (Soph., Fertile), who shot a 92 on Thursday. Anna Olson (Jr., Fertile) finished with a 93. Allison Bot (Sr., Minneota) carded 100, as did Peyton Hennen (Fr., Morris). Madi Andring (Fresh., Hawley) shot a 109.

Hannah Kohls of Southwest Minnesota State University won the individual title with a one-under-par 71. She bested Haley Kapanicas of Ottawa University by one stroke.

Ottawa won the team championship with a score of 312. They upended Rockhurst University by three strokes.
