CONCORDIA-ST. PAUL PICKS UP THEIR 10TH SHUTOUT OF THE YEAR IN 2-0 WIN OVER UMC

The University of Minnesota Crookston Women’s Soccer team didn’t have many things going their way going into this afternoon’s match at Concordia University in St. Paul. The Golden Eagles hadn’t picked up a win this season and were 0-9 on the year and had been shutout seven times. On the other side, the Golden Bears are ranked 16th in NCAA Division II at 10-0-2 and had nine shutouts in those 12 matches!!! 16 minutes into the match, Haleigh Bares punched in a goal to give Concordia University a 1-0 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish and Sophie Pawlyshyn added a late marker to give the Golden Bears a 2-0 win in the state capital, St. Paul. UMC will return home and host Augustana University on Friday afternoon at the UMC Soccer Field.
