UNIDENTIFIED MALE FOUND DEAD IN GRAND FORKS PARKING LOT EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING

UPDATE 4/3/19 5:50 P.M.

The victim, in this case, has been identified as Sidney Bina, 75 y/o, of Grand Forks. The investigation is still in the early stages and at this time the injury to the victim appears to be self-inflicted. There is no reason to believe there is any threat to the general public.

ORIGINAL RELEASE

On Wednesday, April 3, at approximately 1:04 a.m. Officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were on routine patrol in the area of Bringwatt Park, 2205 24th Ave. South, when they located a deceased male lying in the parking lot.  At this time there are no indications of foul play, although very few details regarding the victim or the circumstances of death are available at the time of this release.  There is no indication of any ongoing danger to the public, related to this incident, at this time.  The Altru Ambulance Service and the Grand Forks County Coroner’s Office also assisted on this incident.
