UNITED WAY OF CROOKSTON DONATES VITAL SIGN MONITOR TO THE BENEDICTINE LIVING COMMUNITY

For years, Benedictine Living Community-Crookston has witnessed the generosity of the Crookston community supporting United Way. This past year, a gift was given to purchase a Vital Sign Monitor and update the ice machines.

Director of Nursing LaVonne Merten states, “United Way just keeps making a difference for us. The faithful caregiving staff are singing praises of our new monitor. We take over a hundred sets of vitals a day, and having dependable, accurate equipment helps us provide the best care possible.”

CNA/Bath Aide Jennie Mason noted, “We are so thankful for the new monitor. It saves us precious time by automating the readings into the medical record. And if there is a variance, it flags for the nurse. That is an important time we can be with the person we care for versus sitting in front of a computer screen.”

“We want to call out how United Way of Crookston has gifted us time and again with impactful equipment and programming, including the animated pets that our Memory Care residents hold and love, blanket warmers, wheelchair scales, the low vision reading machine, the 360 Clorox sanitizing machine and the Benedictine Buggy plus much more.” Executive Director Lindsey Erdman said, “Thanks to the many businesses and people who give so generously to United Way of Crookston because you make a difference for us and so many in town!”
