UNITED WAY OF CROOKSTON HOLDING ONLINE AUCTION THROUGH SATURDAY

With the United Way of Crookston unable to hold many of its traditional events around the community, they are holding an online auction called “From Harvest to Holidays – Reaching Out for Hunger” to support the local agencies that provide food in the community.

Those agencies include the Care & Share, Eat United Summer Food Program, Home Delivered Meals, LLS Meals on Wheels, New Hope Food Shelf, and North Country Food Bank. United Way Executive Director Lori Wagner said the auction is one way to replace the Hugo’s United Way Golf Tournament that had to be canceled in June. “We can’t do things face-to-face and this is helping us out with not being able to do our one signature event, the Hugo’s Golf Tournament,” said Wagner. “It would’ve been our fourth annual tournament June 25, so we’re doing the online auction. We have 84 items, and if you go to www.32auctions.com/unitedwayofcrookston, it’s really easy. You put your name and email address and then you go ahead and start bidding. That goes until the 15th of this month.”

Wagner encouraged people to participate in the auction as a way to get their gifts for the holidays. “It has great Christmas gifts on there,” said Wagner. “There’s baskets, sports memorabilia, beautiful quilts, Andy Hall canvas prints, wine baskets, fresh-cut holiday trees. There are so many great things so be sure to go on there and check it out.”
