UPDATE: 6/24/20
At approximately 12:26 pm on Wednesday, June 24th, the Crookston Police Department responded to the intersection of University Ave. and Fisher Ave. on a report of a three-vehicle accident.
A 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by David James Aakre, 30, of Barnesville, MN was eastbound on Fisher Ave. when it collided with a 2000 Toyota 4- Runner driven by Andrew Ryan Anderson, 32, of East Grand Forks, MN, which was southbound on University Ave. Debris from the accident struck a 2015 Chrysler 200S driven by Trevor John Haggerty, 27, of Crookston, MN, who was stopped in the northbound turning lane on University Ave.
Andrew Ryan Anderson and his two passengers were transported to Riverview Health for non-life threatening injuries. David James Aakre and Trevor John Haggerty were not injured. David James Aakre was cited for failure to obey traffic control device.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Crookston Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance, and Minnesota State Patrol also responded and assisted with this incident.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A single-vehicle rolled over in an accident that occurred in Crookston on Wednesday, June 24 shortly after 12 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 2 and Fisher Avenue.
A white SUV rolled taking out a light pole and landing in the median south of the intersection. Officers on the scene said the there was one vehicle involved with three people transported from the scene with injuries. Responding agencies included the Crookston Police Department, Crookston Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance, and Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
