WASHINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN CLASSES PERFORM CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS

The Washington Elementary School Kindergarten classes had its Carnival of the Animals Celebration today in the school’s Gymnasium, which was lined with many pictures and art projects of animals created by the students, and a slideshow created by Lorri Capistran to celebrate the kindergarteners. Miss Parenteau’s and Ms. Erickson’s classes performed ten animal-themed songs that they had learned with their music teacher, Miss Gabrielle Foede, for their parents, grandparents, and family members.

The students sang songs that helped them learn many different things throughout their time in kindergarten, such as counting, rhythm, animals, and even sang a song in Spanish with various hand and body movements. The students also performed songs they had written in their classes to perform for the Carnival. After the Carnival, the students and their families went back to their classrooms where they could take pictures and see baby chicks the classes had raised during the year.

Miss Hanson’s and Mrs. Tangquist’s Classes will perform the Carnival of the Animals on Friday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. in the Washington Elementary School Gymnasium with two of their own unique songs. Pictures of Wednesday’s Carnival of the Animals with Miss Parenteau’s and Ms. Erickson’s classes can be seen below.
