William (Bill) Ellingson – OBIT

William (Bill) Ellingson, born September 29, 1938 in Crookston, Minnesota, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at the age of 85.

Bill leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Pam Ellingson, 3 adult children, Joy Koblosh, Jay Ellingson, and Joel Ellingson, as well as an adult stepdaughter, Brandi Beard, 8 Grandchildren, and 7 Grandchildren. Bill also leaves 3 living sisters, Mona Sullivan, Diane Hendrickson, and Claire Derosier.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche LeBlanc Ellingson, Father, Alton Ellingson, and sisters, Rosita Barber and Bette Talbert.

In addition to Minnesota, Bill has lived in California, Nevada, and finally, Utah, where he was delivered into God’s hands with his family around his bedside.

Bill was always a die-hard Vikings fan, and a true highlight of his life was when his Minnesota family took him to the then-new Vikings stadium while he was in Minnesota celebrating his 80th birthday. The memory of that day always put a sparkle in his eyes.

There will be a small memorial service on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Valley Mortuary, 566 North Mall Drive, St. George, Utah 84790.
