Winter Storm Watch issued for KROX listenting area (portions of NW Minnesota/Eastern North Dakota) on Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday morning (December 9) through Tuesday evening. West
Minnesota Counties include – Polk, Norman, Clay, Kittson, Roseau, Marshall, Beltrami, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, Becker, Otter Tail, and Wadena.  It includes the following North Dakota cities: Towner, Cavalier, Pembina, Benson, Ramsey, Walsh, Eddy, Nelson, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele, Traill, Barnes, and Cass.
Minnesota Cities include Crookston, Red Lake Falls, Roseau, Hallock, Middle River, Bagley, Thief River Falls, Fosston, Red Lake, Wadena, Fergus Falls, Ada, Bemidji, East Grand Forks, Newfolden, Park Rapids, Halstad, Warren, Detroit Lakes, New York Mills, Moorhead, and Mahnomen.  It includes the following North Dakota cities: Grand Forks, Fargo, Mayville, Cavalier, Langdon, Leeds, 

…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT…

* WHAT…Heavy snow and patchy blowing snow are possible. There may also be a brief period of freezing rain on Tuesday morning. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of central, north central, northwest, and west central Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota.

* WHEN…From Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Mainly, drifting snow is possible, but in areas prone to blowing snow, the snow may be lofted and briefly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
