Zach Brown of Crookston was wrestling for Minnesota 2 in the Junior National Duals in Tulsa Oklahoma and he went 3-2 in his matches.
Zach didn’t wrestle in a 43-27 loss to Washington in the first round. In the second round, Zach lost a 10-7 decision and team Ohio beat Minnesota 33-32.
In the pool play portion of the bracket – Minnesota 2 beat Florida 37-30 and Zach didn’t wrestle in the match. Minnesota 2 beat Texas 1 39-30 and Zach won his match by a pin at 1:28. Minnesota 2 beat North Carolina 60-10 and Zach lost his match by Tech Fall 10-0. Minnesota 2 beat Kansas 2 53-15 and Zach won his match by a 10-4 decision. In the championship match of the Green/Yellow division, Team Minnesota beat Alaska 47-21 and Zach won his match by pin at 1:31.
