SMALL GRAINS MEETINGS TO BE HELD THROUGHOUT NORTHWEST MINNESOTA

Researchers from the University of Minnesota, along with the Minnesota Wheat Growers and the Minnesota Wheat Council will deliver the most current research information to help you make better management decisions on your farm.
The workshops will include information on new spring wheat varieties, strategies for managing nitrogen, management and research results from the On-Farm Research Network. 

Speakers

  • Dr. Jim Anderson, Spring Wheat Breeder, University of MN
    Jim will present the research results from the 2018 variety trials in a way that will help you pick the best varieties for your farm in 2019.
  • Dr. David Kee, Director of Research, MN Soybean Research & Promotion Council
    David will highlight some of the most important research findings for Northwest Minnesota soybean producers.
  • Amanda Bilek, Senior Public Policy Director MN Corn Growers Association
    Amanda will discuss the outcome of the recent elections and provide insight into how the new legislature and administration may work with agriculture.
  • Allison Thompson, Commodity Broker, The Money Farm
    Allison will describe the short- and long-term S & D situation and market direction in order to help you plan and set realistic marketing goals for your 2018 and 2019 crops.
  • Lauren Proulx and Melissa Geiszler, On-Farm Research Coordinators & Agronomists, Minnesota Wheat Research & Promotion Council
    Lauren will highlight the 2018 On-Farm Research results from the Plant Growth Regulator- Palisade, Seeding Rate, VRN, and On-Board Protein Analyzer trials.
