CROOKSTON SENIORS TAKE PICTURES, RECEIVE YEARBOOKS AND OTHER GOODIES

The Crookston High School Senior Class is picking up their yearbooks and taking pictures in their caps and gowns Friday morning instead of having graduation rehearsal as they usually would. The students are also getting what was left in their lockers, masks made by Erickson Embroidery in case they are needed for the ceremony in July, and cupcakes from RBJ’s.  The seniors are also returning their devices and textbooks.

Anna Huck said she was glad they were doing something even if it wasn’t what it should have been. “I’m happy that we got to do something,” said Huck. “But I’m really, really, really sad that I don’t get to walk with my friends. This definitely isn’t happening the way that it should have, but I’m happy that it’s happening.”

Emily Gillette said having the cupcakes made things a little better. “Well, I have a box of cupcakes from RBJ’s to make me feel better,” said Gillette. “So, that helps out a bit. I’m glad that we could get together and talk to some teachers on the way out instead of not come back.”

Eliza Meyer said she was glad she could see some of her classmates and teachers. “Today, it feels good,” said Meyer. “I got to see all my teachers again, which was really nice because I love all my teachers. And I got my yearbook, which I’m the editor, so I worked really hard on it all year, so that was nice to look at. Even though I didn’t see everyone, I saw some people that I grown up with.”

Brylee Lessard said she can’t wait for the ceremony in July to get her actual diploma. “The fact that we have to be six feet apart is kind of lame,” said Lessard. “And I don’t get to see all my classmates. But, I mean, at least I graduated. I can’t wait to get my actual diploma. That’s what I’m most excited for.”
