Peterson was transported by Crookston Area Ambulance to Riverview Emergency Room in Crookston prior to the Deputy arriving on the scene and has since been transferred to Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. The preliminary investigation indicates Peterson fell off the snowmobile after hitting a bump resulting in her injuries. The snowmobile did not sustain any damage. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted with the accident investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
The case remains active.

Anna’s husband, Mark, posted the following on Facebook-
“She is alive and aware of her surroundings and has a big weekend ahead of her filled with many hours in the operating room. Right now all we need and can ask for are your prayers and well wishes. We are blessed to have my parents at home with the boys and my sister Leah Wright here as our medical translator. Peace, hope, and love to all.”
