CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING DISTRIBUTES YEARLY AWARDS AT BANQUET

The Crookston High School wrestling team held its end-of-year banquet on Tuesday night in the Crookston Inn banquet hall.

Seniors Carter Coauette and Evin Trudeau were recognized as the lone seniors on this year’s team. Trudeau unfortunately could not compete in his senior campaign due to sustaining a knee injury in the fall this school year. Trudeau plans on attending Bemidji State in the fall of 2024.

Coauette finished his high school wrestling career at the MSHSL state wrestling tournament earlier this month with a runner-up finish. He also eclipsed the 175-win mark earlier this season. 

Three other wrestlers were nominated for awards this year which included Most Dedicated, Most Improved, and Rookie of the Year. The winners were-

Most Dedicated- Lucas Perala
Most Improved- Jose Arriaga
Rookie of the Year- Miles Corneille
