POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET TUESDAY MORNING

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, April 23 at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room at the Polk County Government Center.  Their consent agenda includes approve the auditor warrants; approve payments of $4,391.76 and $74.94 to Hewlett Packard Inc for the IT Department; approve payment of $2,710.00 to SHI of Dallas, Texas for the IT Department; approve payment of $325.00 to Protection System Inc of Fargo, North Dakota for the Facilities Department; approve payment of $227.00 to the Grand Forks Herald for the Incinerator; approve payment of $892.47 to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP of Palatine, Illinois for the Facilities Department; and approve payment of $1,404.00 to GHA Technologies, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona for the IT Department.

The regular agenda includes the monthly sheriff report and an update on the 2019 flooding and damage by Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman.  County Administrator Chuck Whiting will request to advertise and fill the positions of Clerk Typist Cashier III and Maintenance II.  He will present an Out of State Travel Request for the International City/County Management Association conference in Nashville, Tennessee from October 20-23.  Whiting will provide an update on the East Grand Forks Building Construction status, in which Northwest Mental Health is expected to be operating by May 1.  A bond sale is scheduled for May 7 and Whiting will provide the board with a preliminary official statement for that sale.  The final item on the agenda is a discussion on the Government Center’s elevator.
