Marlene Hitner – OBIT

Marlene Hitner, 77, Ada, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Marlene was born on August 18, 1946, to Fred and Stella (Peterson) Klusman in Ada.

She attended school in Ada and was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was a very active volunteer. She sang in the church choir and was part of the women’s circle and the quilting club.

Marlene raised her two boys and was a stay-at-home mom. She loved her family and enjoyed being around people. She was very sociable. She also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and making doilies.

Marlene is survived by her sons, Dale Hitner, West Fargo, ND, and David (Lana) Hitner, Wrightstown, WI; grandchildren, Cole and Garret Hitner; nieces; nephews; and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Stella, and sister, Ardis Lee.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
