Blue Line Club Annual Fun Night at the Crookston Eagles Club is March 14

The Crookston Blue Line Club is gearing up for its annual Blue Line Club Fun Night at the Crookston Eagles Club.  The Fun Night will take place on Friday, March 14. “Our Fun Night is our annual fundraiser, one of the two we do for the Crookston Blue Line Club,” says Evan Meyer, Blue Line Club President. “Our job is to support youth hockey in town, in conjunction with the Parks and Rec.”

Meyer says there are two big fundraisers every year: a Golf Scramble and the Fun Night event. “We have a dinner going on. The social starts at 5:00 p.m. and the dinner at 6:00 p.m.,” says Meyer. “It’s up at the Eagles Club. Individual tickets are $45 for the dinner, and couples are $65. If you don’t want to buy a food ticket, you can still come up; we will have games, raffles, and a silent auction going on.”

What a great date night this would make with dinner for $65 and you can help the youth hockey players from town.  There are three different entrée options for the Fun Night Dinner. “Prime rib, pork tenderloin or shrimp. You have to RSVP if you want a meal ticket by March 6 to be guaranteed a dinner,” says Meyer. “We might have a few extra tickets at the door.”

Many local businesses generously donate items to the Blue Line Club Fun Night. “A couple of the big ones this year are we have two guns. A shotgun and an AR 15 that will be up for a raffle,” says Meyer. “And then we have a blanket that was donated by Erin Thode that is made from old youth hockey jerseys and high school hockey jerseys. That’s always a big one.”

If you are a business interested in donating items for the Fun Night, you can reach out to any Blue Line Club member or our Executive Director, Katie Fee, who will direct you in the right direction, Meyer said.

The evening starts at 5:00 p.m. with the Social Hour and raffles, and the silent auction will continue into the evening. “The silent auction runs until 8:00 p.m., and starting at 8:00 p.m., we will start pulling the sheets every ten minutes until they are gone,” says Meyer. “We also do have a 20-gun raffle fundraiser that is going on. All of the youth players and their families have been selling tickets for that this year.  We have some of those left, and those drawings will happen at 9:00 p.m.

Get your tickets while they are available, and come support youth hockey with dinner, games, and more on Friday, March 14.
