The Crookston Youth Basketball Association (CYBA) 5th Grade Girls Basketball team claimed the Argyle Lions Tournament Championship.
Crookston beat Roseau 19-7 in the first round. In their second game, Crookston beat Stephen-Argyle 20–15. In the final game of the day, Crookston beat Kittson County Central 41–10. With the three wins, the Crookston 5th grade girls claimed the tournament championship and improved their season record to 10–0.
The team will travel to Ada next weekend.
Members of the team are Valor Klinnert, Lily Griffin, Mireyah Magdaleno, Annie Kollin, Ashlyn Goering, Penny Smith, and Freya Brekken. The team is coached by Erik Griffin.
