The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls track and field teams competed at the United Clay-Becker meet in Hawley on Thursday. It was added to the schedule after the East Grand Forks meet was canceled. It was the first outdoor meet of the season for the Pirates, and the Park Christian Girls won with 110.5 points, 14.5 points ahead of Pelican Rapids. United Clay-Becker won the boys division, nine strokes better than Park Christian.
The Crookston Girls finished ninth out of 14 scoring teams. The Crookston Boys finished 12th out of 12 scoring teams.

BOYS–
The Pirate Boys were led by junior Aaron Gosse, who finished third in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 23.96 seconds, scoring six points for the team. Aaron also placed eighth in the 100 meters with a time of 12.22. He was the only Pirate Boys with a top 10 finish.
GIRLS –
The Pirate Girls were led by the 4×100 Relay team of Chloe Boll, Kinsley Wangen, Brooklyn Waldal, and Morgan Boll, with a third-place finish with a time of 55.08. The Pirates had a great time and finished third out of 13 teams.
Chloe Boll finished in sixth place in the Pole Vault with a vault of eight feet.
The 4×800 Relay team continues to place, as the team of Ava Oliver, Jennika Reese, ZiiZi Sam, and Catelyn Maruska finished in seventh place.
Crookston will host their next two track meets on Tuesday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 28 at KROX Radio Stadium.
