The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball team takes on the Augustana Vikings in the first round of the Northern Sun Conference Baseball tournament at the Birdcage in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Noon on Wednesday. Only the top eight out of 15 teams make the tournament and UMC fis the eighth seed and takes on the top seeded Vikings. The teams met in the final three games of the regular season, with Augustana winning two of three.
UMC is 26-23 overall and 19-18 in the NSIC. Augustana is 37-13 overall and 30-7 in the NSIC. UMC is 5-5 against Augustana in their last 10 games. They have met in the NSIC Tournament three times with a 0-3 record. The Vikings defeated the Golden Eagles 4-2 at the Birdcage in 2025.
