Crookston Pirate Track teams will send 14 to the Section 8A Track meet next week after Sub-Section meet in Ada.

The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls track and field teams competed in the Section 8A North-Sub-section meet in Ada on Thursday.
Crookston Boys finished sixth place out of 12 teams with 29 points, while United Clay-Becker won the meet with 150 points, 15 more than Park Christian. Crookston will send five boys in three individual events and two relay teams.
The Crookston Girls finished tied for eighth place out of 13 teams with 27 teams. West Marshall won the meet with 125 points, 15 points better than Park Christian. Crookston is sending nine girls in three individual events and two relay teams to the Section 8A meet.

The Pirate Boys were led by Makoti Weber with a first-place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 11-10. Aaron Gosse finished in second place in the 200 meters with a time of 23.37. Mason Lessard will advance as a wild card in the long jump with a jump of 18-11. They will also advance the 4×100 relay team as a wild card. The team is made up of Gavin Reitmeier, Cade Wisk, Masen Lessard, and Aaron Gosse, with a time of 46.67. The boys will also advance the same four boys in the 4×200 relay team as a wild card.

The Pirate Girls will advance nine girls to the section meet. They will send Chloe Boll in the pole vault with a third-place finish with a vault of 9-02. Chloe will also advance in the Long jump as a wild card with a jump of 15-04.25. Morgan Boll will advance in the pole vault with a vault of 8-02. Alle Kollin advances in the 300 hurdles as a wild card with a time of 52.94. Another youngster, Kambree Wangen is advancing to the section meet in the long jump as a wild card with a jump of 14-03.25. The Pirates will also advance two relay teams with Chloe Boll, Bridget Groven, Brooklyn Waldal, and Morgan Boll in the 4×100 relay as a wildcard, and the 4×800 relay team of Hallie Perry, Keatyn Kliner, ZiiZi Sam, and Alle Kollin as a wild card.
