Armando Rosas Sr. – Obit

Armando Rosas Sr., 74, of Crookston, MN, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 4, 2020, at RiverView Health in Crookston.

Armando was born at Crystal City, TX on April 9, 1946, the son of Raul and Maria Luisa (Rodriguez) Maldonado. He was united in marriage to Virginia Alvarado at Crystal City. Armando was a hard worker all his life, having spent his younger years as a migrant farm worker in the states of Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. He later moved to Milwaukee, WI where he worked at the Miller Brewery, and from there came to Grand Forks, ND for employment with the Skinner Roofing Company. He had lived in Crookston for the past several years. Armando loved life, living it to the fullest, and as a young man greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends.

Armando is survived by his wife, Virginia, residing in Crystal City, TX; 5 living children: Robert Rosas and Maria Rosas of Crookston, MN, Alicia Rosas of Crystal City, Aurelio Rosas of Beaver Dam, WI, and Alex Armando Rosas; and many great and great-great grandchildren and brothers and sisters. Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Maria; son, Armando Rosas Jr.; daughter-in-law, Pamela Kay Davis; grandsons, Armando Rosas and Adam Davis; great-granddaughter, Skylynn Kay Rosas; and other relatives.

The funeral service for Armando Rosas Sr. will be held in Crystal City, TX at a later date.
